Her work—ranging from film to television—explores themes of resilience, social justice, and human complexity. Her acclaimed short films, including ALLY 3000, which garnered over 12 awards, and Legacy, which won a 2023 Silver Telly and the Hyundai Evolve Innovation Award, tackle issues of patriarchy, generational trauma, and bias with humor and heart.

Espiritu’s latest project, Maid to Shine, a six-episode romantic comedy, highlights her commitment to inclusive storytelling, set against the vibrant backdrop of Las Vegas and focusing on a Filipina maid with a hidden talent. Additionally, her feature film Love & Karma, starring International star Bai Ling, Oscar nominee Eric Roberts, Golden Globe nominee Joanna Pacula, and Filipino talent Belinda Panelo and Jojo Riguerra, showcases her knack for blending emotional depth with engaging narratives. Recognized as one of the “Most Influential Filipina Women in the World” by the Filipina Women’s Network, Espiritu’s mantra, “Break Hearts Wide Open and Create More Moments of Joy,” drives her to craft stories that uncover resilience, hope, and humanity in all its forms.
